Opolis Utilities Mod Tutorial & Spotlight
Opolis Utilities Mod: Complete Tutorial & Feature Spotlight for Minecraft Java Edition
The Opolis Utilities mod is a feature-packed utility mod for Minecraft Java Edition that fills in the gaps left by vanilla gameplay and other popular mods. From new resources and automation machines to a fully functional in-game currency system, this mod has something useful for every type of player — whether you’re a survival builder, a farm designer, or a modpack developer. Here’s a full breakdown of everything it adds.
New Resources & Materials
Copper Nuggets
Because many mods — including Vanilla — don’t include copper nuggets by default, Opolis Utilities steps in and adds them itself. This small addition opens up crafting flexibility for copper-based recipes.
Ender Ore & Ender Pearl Fragments
Ender Ore is one of the mod’s most significant additions. Mining it yields Ender Pearl Fragments, and collecting nine fragments lets you craft a full Ender Pearl — making Ender Pearls far easier to obtain without relying on Endermen. Nine Ender Pearl Fragments can also be crafted into an Opolis Wrench, which displays additional information when you look at blocks and items in the world.

Mini Coal
One standard piece of coal can be converted into eight Mini Coal. Each Mini Coal smelts exactly one item, meaning your coal supply becomes dramatically more fuel-efficient. This is a fantastic early-game resource management tool.

Leafy String
Three leaves can now be crafted into Leafy String, which functions as a normal piece of string in any recipe. You can also use it to craft green wool, giving leaves a practical new use.
New Crafting & Food Processing
Wooden Shears
The mod adds a wooden pair of shears, giving players an early-game shearing option before they have access to iron.
The Drying Table
The Drying Table is a multi-purpose crafting block with two modes depending on whether it is submerged in water or left dry.
Submerged in water: Place Log Sheets inside to produce Soaked Paper.
Dry: Place Soaked Paper inside to produce standard Paper.
Log Sheets themselves are crafted from wooden pressure plates, which means — for the first time in Minecraft — you can turn wood into paper. The Drying Table can also be used to dry any raw meat into Jerky, which provides two hunger points but an exceptional amount of saturation, making it a highly efficient food source.

Sapling Grower
The Sapling Grower is crafted using bone blocks (equivalent to nine bone meal). It produces a reusable bone-meal-on-a-stick tool that you can use to grow saplings repeatedly without consuming bone meal each time.

Tools & Handheld Items
The Creek
The Creek is a handheld tool with two handy uses: hit leaf blocks with it to receive increased drops, and sheep will follow you when you hold it — making herding animals significantly easier.
The Ender Scrambler
Built using Ender Pearl Fragments, the Ender Scrambler prevents nearby Endermen from teleporting away, making Enderman encounters and farms much more manageable.

Waypoint Stones
Opolis Utilities adds three tiers of waypoint stones, all crafted using Ender Pearl Fragments:
Home Stone: Shift-right-click while holding it in your offhand to set a location. Right-click with it in your main hand to teleport there. Works in the Overworld only.
Advanced Home Stone: An upgraded version that works across all three vanilla Minecraft dimensions — the Overworld, the Nether, and the End.
Super Home Stone: The top-tier version that works across all dimensions, including those added by other mods. Requires four Nether Stars to craft.

Warden Smite Enchanted Book
A special enchanted book is included specifically for fighting the Warden, giving players an extra edge against one of Minecraft’s toughest mobs.
Redstone Clock
The Redstone Clock does exactly what it sounds like — it emits a continuous, timed redstone signal, useful for automating contraptions without building complex redstone circuits.
Animal Net (Beta)
The Animal Net allows you to right-click any mob to capture it, then right-click again to release it elsewhere. Note that as of the current version, the crafting recipe is not yet implemented — the item is marked as beta and is not fully available in survival mode yet.

Automation & Machines
Item Repairer
Place a damaged item into the Item Repairer, power it up, and it will automatically repair the item for you — no anvil or experience points required.

Block Breaker
Place the Block Breaker down and it will automatically break whatever block is directly in front of it. It can be toggled on and off as needed, making it a powerful tool for automated farms and resource collection.

Block Placer
The counterpart to the Block Breaker, the Block Placer automatically places whatever block is stored in its inventory. Together, these two machines open up a wide range of farm designs.

Fluid Generator
The Fluid Generator produces fluids — either water or lava — depending on what fluid is placed above it. It outputs directly into any tank placed beneath it, such as a Mekanism tank. You can also place Speed Blocks above the generator to increase its production rate. The mod provides a full list of compatible speed blocks and their respective speed multipliers.

Resource Generator & Resource Generator 2
These two generators duplicate blocks automatically. Place a block — such as cobblestone, stone, or granite — above the generator, and it will continuously produce copies of that block, depositing them into any hopper or chest placed beneath it. The mod displays each block’s duplication rate so you know exactly how fast your resources will accumulate.

Floating Block
The Floating Block can be placed anywhere in mid-air without needing a surface to attach to. This is incredibly useful for builders, tutorial creators, and anyone working on complex structures in survival mode.

Currency System for Modpack Developers
B-Bucks & B-Bucks Wallet
Opolis Utilities introduces a currency system built around B-Bucks and a B-Bucks Wallet. To store B-Bucks in your wallet, hold the wallet in your offhand and shift-right-click your B-Bucks in your main hand. Note that neither the B-Bucks nor the wallet have a default crafting recipe — they are intended for modpack developers to integrate as a custom currency within their own packs.
Catalog Book & Shop System
The mod also adds a craftable Catalog Book and a Catalog block that can be configured to buy and sell items. For transactions requiring more than 64 of a given item, the wallet handles the overflow automatically. This makes the catalog system an excellent tool for building easy, functional shops inside a modpack without needing additional economy mods.

Summary
The Opolis Utilities mod is a well-rounded utility mod that patches common gaps in Minecraft’s vanilla experience while introducing powerful automation machines and modpack-ready systems. Standout features include the Ender Ore resource chain, the wood-to-paper pipeline via the Drying Table, efficient generators with speed block support, and a fully customisable B-Bucks currency system for modpack developers. Whether you’re playing solo survival or building a custom modpack, Opolis Utilities offers a wide range of practical tools worth adding to your game.
