5x Ore Processing Guide – Industrial Foregoing 1.21.1
Learn how to multiply your ores by five times using Industrial Foregoing’s ore processing system. This guide walks you through the essential machines—from the Washing Factory to the Resourceful Furnace—to maximize your ore yields efficiently. Perfect for mid to late-game players looking to boost their mining returns.
Introduction to Ore Processing
Industrial Foregoing offers a comprehensive ore processing system that’s simpler than alternatives like Mekanism. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to use multiple machines in sequence to increase your ore output by five times. This process requires understanding several key machines and their configurations.
Step 1: The Washing Factory
The first machine you’ll need is the Washing Factory. This machine converts raw ores into liquid ore using liquid meat as an enrichment agent.
To set it up, you’ll input raw iron (or any other raw ore) into the machine. For example, 10 raw iron will produce 100 millibuckets of raw ore meat. Note that the machine processes ore in batches of ten at a time.
Configure the machine’s side settings as follows:
Output: Set to “push” to the right (or your preferred direction)
Liquid Meat Input: Set to “pull” from the left to draw liquid meat into the machine

Step 2: Obtaining Liquid Meat
You’ll need liquid meat to power the Washing Factory. The Mob Slaughter Factory produces liquid meat and pink slime by killing mobs in front of it.
By default, this machine only works in a one-block radius. To expand its working area, attach a Tier 2 Range Add-on (or higher) to increase the slaughter radius significantly.
The mob slaughter factory will automatically kill any mobs in its working area and output liquid meat and pink slime.

Step 3: The Fermentation Station
Once you have raw ore meat from the Washing Factory, pipe it into the Fermentation Station. This machine is where you’ll achieve your multiplication multiplier.
Configure the fermentation station with these settings:
Seal Option: Choose “one bucket” to start processing when exactly one bucket of fluid is present (or select halfway/full as preferred)
Redstone Mode: Set to “run without redstone”
Output Mode: Set to “push” to the right
Multiplication Multipliers
The Fermentation Station offers five different multiplication settings:
Times 2: Takes 5 seconds, no catalyst required
Times 3: Longer duration, no catalyst required
Times 4: Requires pink slime as catalyst
Times 5: Requires ephags as catalyst (takes a very long time)
You can pipe in the catalyst (pink slime or ephags) via the dedicated catalyst input on the machine.
To significantly speed up processing, install a Tier 4 Speed Add-on. Be aware that this dramatically increases energy consumption, so ensure your power generation is sufficient.

Step 4: The Fluid Sieving Machine
After fermentation completes, the liquid ore meat is ready for the next stage. Pipe the output into a Fluid Sieving Machine.
This machine requires sand as its sieving medium. It processes the fermented liquid ore and converts it into ore dust, effectively solidifying your multiplied materials.

Step 5: Smelting with the Resourceful Furnace
Finally, use the Resourceful Furnace to smelt your ore dust into actual ingots. This furnace allows you to smelt up to three ores at a time, speeding up your smelting process compared to standard furnaces.
As a bonus, the Resourceful Furnace sometimes produces essence as a byproduct, providing additional value from your ore processing.

Summary: Complete 5x Ore Processing Chain
You’ve now completed the full 5x ore processing pipeline using Industrial Foregoing 1.21.1. Here’s the complete chain:
Washing Factory: Convert raw ore to raw ore meat using liquid meat
Mob Slaughter Factory: Generate liquid meat from mobs
Fermentation Station: Multiply ore meat by 5x (with ephags catalyst)
Fluid Sieving Machine: Convert fermented liquid to ore dust
Resourceful Furnace: Smelt ore dust into ingots
This system requires careful configuration and adequate power generation, but once running, it will provide a substantial boost to your ore yields—perfect for late-game industrial automation.
