Witcher (More RPG Classes) – Complete Tutorial
Welcome to the complete guide for the Witcher mod class from the More RPG Classes series. This tutorial covers everything you need to know to master the Witcher class, including ore generation, spell books, weapons, armor, and gear. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to optimize your Witcher build, this guide has you covered.
Ore Generation
Unlike many other RPG classes from the More RPG Classes series, the Witcher mod actually adds new ores and significantly more crafting materials. Here’s what you can find:
Silver Ore
Silver ore can be found between Y levels 30 to -42 alongside deepslate and silver deposits. This is one of the key materials you’ll need for Witcher-specific crafting.

Dark Iron
Dark iron ore spawns between Y levels -64 to 25. You can also find it in the Nether, though the overworld locations are generally easier to access.

Malachite Ore
Malachite is quite specific in its spawning conditions. It only generates in caves and mountains at Y levels 1 to 320, meaning it spawns very high in the world. Your best bet for finding this ore is to explore caves located in high-altitude mountain biomes.

Dark Steel
Dark steel is not found naturally in the world—instead, you craft it by smelting together steel, which is made from blasting iron, nether rite, and dark iron together.

Demitricum Ingots
Demitricum ingots can only be found in End city treasure chests. Keep in mind that your modpack may have added additional spawn locations for these valuable ingots, so it’s worth checking your modpack’s documentation.

Spell Books and Spells
The Witcher class uses three primary spell books to learn and cast various magical abilities. Here’s what you need to know about each one.
Witcher Sign Manual
The Witcher Sign Manual is crafted using a silver ingot and a hardened lever. It also drops from ravagers. Right-click to open your accessory screen and place it in your spell book slot.

The Witcher Sign Manual teaches the following signs at level 10:
Aard: A thrust attack that knocks targets back
Igni: A compressed pyrogenic burst that ignites enemies and deals damage
Axii: Incapacitates a target and makes them vulnerable to damage
Quen: Grants you an absorption effect to reduce incoming damage
Yrden: Slows enemies and deals damage to undead entities

Witcher Techniques Book
This spell book is crafted the same way as the Witcher Sign Manual and teaches combat-focused techniques:
Witcher Reflexes: Sharpens your reflexes, allowing you to block one arrow or melee attack
Battle Trance: Grants you movement speed and other combat benefits
Rend: A massive heavy strike that deals damage while spinning around

Master Witch Book
The Master Witch Book contains all spells from both the Witcher Sign Manual and Witcher Techniques Book. You can use your keyboard number keys (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, etc.) to quickly switch between and cast your learned spells while wielding a compatible weapon.

Weapons
Witcher weapons come in two main categories: silver swords and steel swords. Each type excels against different enemy types and builds.
Silver Swords
Silver swords deal significantly more damage to undead mobs. The Silver Witch Art Sword is an excellent choice for sign-focused builds. These weapons provide the following benefits:
Spell casting deals magic damage to silver-vulnerable targets (undead mobs)
+2.5 sign intensity to boost your spell effectiveness

Steel Swords
Steel swords are designed for physical, melee-focused builds and are more effective against human enemies. They provide:
Adrenaline gain on hit
Chance to inflict “Bleeding” status on undead targets, causing damage over time

Unique and Boss-Drop Swords
Certain powerful swords like Azure Raft, Reach of the Damned, Errant Light, and Iris can only be obtained as drops from bosses. Your modpack developer determines when and where these drop.
Meteorite Witcher swords are another variant that deals damage to silver-vulnerable targets. Always check the sword’s description to determine whether it’s a steel or silver type, as this affects which enemies it’s most effective against.

Armor and Gear Sets
The Witcher class features several complete armor sets, each with unique bonuses and playstyles. Most sets have multiple upgrade tiers: base, enhanced, superior, and grand master versions.
Cat Armor Set
The Cat armor set is a modern build that provides:
Adrenaline gain
Attack power boost
Armor
Sign intensity increase
This set is crafted with a lever and a hot lever and serves as a good introductory armor option.

Understanding Adrenaline
Adrenaline is a key stat for Witchers. The higher your adrenaline value, the greater the chance you’ll gain the Adrenaline effect and the longer it will last. When active, Adrenaline increases:
Your attack damage
Your sign intensity (making spells more potent)
Your sign critical strike chance (if you have this perk in your skill tree)

Feline Suit
The Feline suit is crafted using steel and silver and provides:
Armor
Adrenaline gain
Attack speed
You can upgrade this to a superior version using smithing templates, which can be found in loot chests, village weapon smiths, village armor smiths, stronghold libraries, and woodland mansions. The Just Enough Resources mod can help you locate these sources.

Set Bonuses:
2-piece bonus: Increased attack damage
4-piece bonus: Reduced cooldown for one of your abilities
There’s also a grand master version of this set that includes a medallion as the fifth piece (see medallions section below).

Griffin Suit
The Griffin suit is excellent for sign-focused builds, providing substantial sign intensity bonuses. Crafted with silver and chains, it has enhanced, superior, and grand master versions available.
Set Bonus: When you land spell casts and melee hits that inflict injuries on targets with bad effects, those targets take increased incoming damage.

Wolves Suit
The Wolves suit is well-rounded, offering balanced stats without focusing on any particular playstyle. It provides a good foundation for hybrid builds.

Ursine Suit
The Ursine suit is designed for tanking with the following benefits:
Knockback resistance
Increased health
Increased chance to render attacks (heavy hits)
When you take damage, you have a chance to gain a shield for protection

Medallions
Medallions are special accessories that go in your necklace slot in the accessory screen. They provide unique bonuses when equipped. To craft medallions, you’ll need a “thing of pure silver,” which typically comes from dungeon chests or boss drops depending on your modpack.

Trinkets
Trinkets are powerful accessories that slot into the trinket slot of your accessory screen. Most trinkets do not have crafting recipes and must be found as drops throughout the world.
Igni Glyphs
Igni glyphs are sign-specific trinkets. Lesser Igni glyphs don’t have crafting recipes and must be found as drops. Once you collect four of the lesser versions, you can upgrade them to the greater version.

Other Trinkets
Additional trinkets include:
Rows of Remembrance: Drop-only trinket with no crafting recipe
Crystal Skull: Drop-only trinket with no crafting recipe
Sunstone: Drop-only trinket with no crafting recipe
These trinkets offer nice effects, such as a chance to heal yourself when taking damage. Since there are no crafting recipes for most trinkets, check your modpack to see where they spawn.

Conclusion
The Witcher class from More RPG Classes is significantly more in-depth than other classes in the series, offering a wide variety of armor sets, weapons, spells, and accessories. Whether you prefer a sign-focused magical build, a physical damage-heavy approach, or a tanking playstyle, the Witcher class provides the tools you need. Focus on collecting the right ores, learning your preferred spells, and equipping armor sets that match your build to become a true monster hunter.
