Ready to ascend from a regular vampire to a powerful Vampire Lord in the Vampirism mod? Once you reach level 14, you have the option to pursue the path to lordship. This comprehensive guide will walk you through every step of the process, from finding a vampire representative to commanding your own minions and unlocking special abilities.

Finding a Vampire Representative

To begin your journey toward becoming a Vampire Lord, you’ll need to locate a vampire representative. These NPCs can be found in vampire-controlled villages. Villages in the Vampirism mod can be owned by vampires, hunters, or remain neutral. Once you’ve identified a vampire village, explore it thoroughly to find the vampire representative.

Switch to night time to make navigation easier and to avoid unnecessary mob encounters.

Interacting with the Representative

Right-click on the vampire representative to open their interaction menu. You’ll see they have various tasks available for you to complete. Many exclusive items and accessories in the Vampirism mod can only be obtained through these tasks.

Understanding Representative Tasks

The vampire representative offers several quest types. Here are some examples of available tasks:

Ring of the Sword Master (Level 1): Give 2 gold ingots and kill 3 vampire barons. Reward: Ring that trains vampire swords faster. Also receive 15 gold ingots upon completion.

Break Some Bones: Kill 20 skeletons and obtain a chainmail chest plate. This is considered one of the easier tasks to complete.

Sanguine Spreader Infection: Infect mobs using the sanguine spreader. Note that not all mobs can become vampires—if a mob cannot be infected, it will take damage instead.

Requirements to Become a Vampire Lord

Before you can ascend to Vampire Lord status, you must fulfill all of the following requirements:

Complete the Rû War quest requirement

Obtain 5 Pure Blood (Purity level 5 out of 5)

Collect 32 gold ingots

Infect 25 mobs with sanguine air

Complete 1 faction raid (either attack or defense—3 total)

Completing Faction Raids

The faction raid requirement is easiest to complete by targeting neutral or hunter-controlled villages rather than your own faction’s villages. In these villages, you’ll find a totem base and totem top. Right-click the totem to initiate a raid.

If a village doesn’t already have a totem, you can craft the Village Totem Top yourself and place it in the village. You can also obtain Village Totem Tops as rewards from your faction representative’s tasks.

The Promotion Path: Vampire Ranks

Once you complete your first set of requirements, you’ll be promoted to Baron. Notice that your status bar will now display “BAR” instead of your level number.

Baron to Lord Level Progression

After becoming a Baron, your vampire representative will offer additional quests to advance you further. The typical progression involves:

Baron → Lord Level 2: Kill 30 hunters, give 48 gold ingots, and provide 5 pure blood

Lord Level 2 → Lord Level 3: Similar requirements with increased quantities

Control Mania Quest (Lord Level 4): Kill advanced hunters (these are advanced named vampires)

Meglemania Quest (Lord Level 5): Kill hostile villages, capture/raid villages, and infect large quantities of mobs

Commanding Vampire Minions

Once you achieve Lord Level 1 or higher, you unlock the ability to bind vampire minions to your service. This is one of the most powerful features available to lords.

Creating Minions

To create a minion, you’ll need a Vampire Minion Binding, which can be obtained as a task reward from vampire representatives. Use the minion binding on a vampire to convert them into your personal minion.

Minion Commands and Management

Right-click on your minion to access their command wheel. Available commands include:

Stay here

Follow me

Defend the area

Defend my lord

You can also view and manage minion statistics including attack damage, max health, movement speed, and inventory size.

Upgrading Minions

Minions can be upgraded using Minion Upgrades, which are also obtained through representative tasks. The upgrade progression follows this pattern:

Vampire Minion Binding (initial binding)

Vampire Minion Upgrade (for level 1 upgrades)

Additional upgrade items for levels 2-3, 4-5, 6-7, and beyond

Note that higher-level minion upgrades require you to be at Lord Level 5 before the vampire representative will offer them as quest rewards.

Minion Customization

Your minions have gear slots where you can equip items to enhance their abilities. You can also customize their appearance or have them use the Lord skin (your current vampire appearance) if you prefer.

Vampire Lord Abilities and Skills

As you progress through the ranks, you’ll unlock special vampire abilities accessed through your skill screen. You have two separate skill point pools: normal skill points and minion skill points.

Minion Skill Tree

Your minions have their own skill tree that provides bonuses when minions are nearby, including:

Increased attack speed for nearby vampires

Increased movement speed for nearby vampires

Unlocking Special Powers

By spending skill points, you can unlock abilities such as:

Bat mode (toggle to transform into a bat and fly)

Infect ability

Health regeneration

Once unlocked, these abilities appear in your ability wheel (default hotkey: R) for quick access during gameplay.
