How to Make Boosted Diesel in Modern Industrialization

Making boosted diesel in Modern Industrialization is an advanced process, but a rewarding one. Boosted diesel is double the strength of normal diesel, making it a valuable fuel source for your HP generator. This guide will walk you through each step of the process, assuming you already have foundational knowledge of the mod, including how to make stainless steel, steel, and a distillation tower. Prerequisites and Assumptions

Before you begin making boosted diesel, you should already be familiar with:

The great news is that when you’re making boosted diesel, you’ll be using byproducts from the diesel-making process, so you’re already generating most of what you need.

Step 1: Making Diesel (Quick Recap)

If you’re already producing diesel, you can skip this section. However, here’s a quick refresher on the diesel-making process.

Setting Up Your Distillation Tower

Start with a distillation tower that is 3 layers high (the bottom layer doesn’t count in the height measurement). Input crude oil into this tower. The tower will output:

Sulfuric light fuel

Sulfuric heavy fuel

Sulfuric naphtha (byproduct — save this for the boosted diesel process)

Processing Fuels with Hydrogen

You’ll need hydrogen for this step. Create an electrolyzer and input water. The electrolyzer will produce hydrogen and oxygen. Separate the oxygen (you’ll use it later) and route the hydrogen to two chemical reactors.

In your first chemical reactor, combine:

Sulfuric heavy fuel + Hydrogen → Heavy fuel + Sulfuric acid

In your second chemical reactor, combine:

Sulfuric light fuel + Hydrogen → Light fuel + Sulfuric acid

Mixing to Create Diesel

Take the heavy fuel and light fuel outputs from both chemical reactors and feed them into an electric mixer. The mixer will produce diesel.

Step 2: Making Boosted Diesel

Now that you have diesel, you can create boosted diesel by adding daifiliefa to it in a final mixer. Daifiliefa is the complex ingredient that requires multiple steps to produce.

Processing Sulfuric Naphtha

Take the sulfuric naphtha byproduct from your distillation tower and route it to a chemical reactor with hydrogen. This will separate the sulfuric acid, leaving you with plain naphtha and another sulfuric acid byproduct.

Take the plain naphtha output and feed it into another chemical reactor with steam. If you’re at this stage of the mod, you should already know how to produce steam. This combination will produce steam-cracked naphtha.

Distilling Steam-Cracked Naphtha

Input the steam-cracked naphtha into an 8-layer tall distillation tower. From the outputs of this tower, you’ll extract two important chemicals from the 3rd and 4th output positions:

Ethylene

Propylene

Creating Acrylic Acid (from Propylene)

Take the propylene output and feed it into a chemical reactor with oxygen. You already have oxygen from your electrolyzer (from the water electrolysis step). This combination will produce acrylic acid and water.

Acrylic acid is one half of the daifiliefa recipe. Set this aside for the final step.

Creating Ethyline (from Ethylene)

Take the ethylene output from your distillation tower and feed it into a chemical reactor with two inputs:

Ethylene (from distillation tower)

Water

Sulfuric acid

You already have sulfuric acid as a byproduct from the fuel processing steps earlier. The output of this reactor will be ethyline, which is the second half of the daifiliefa recipe.

Combining to Make Daifiliefa

Now that you have acrylic acid and ethyline, feed both into a chemical reactor. The output will be daifiliefa.

Creating Boosted Diesel

Finally, take your daifiliefa and your diesel and feed both into an electric mixer. The output is boosted diesel — which is twice as powerful as regular diesel.

You can now use boosted diesel in your HP generator to produce double the power of regular diesel.

Complete Process Flow Chart

Here’s a summary of the entire boosted diesel production process:

Input: Crude oil, water

Distillation Tower 1 (3 layers): Crude oil → Sulfuric light fuel, sulfuric heavy fuel, sulfuric naphtha

Electrolyzer: Water → Hydrogen, oxygen

Chemical Reactors (Fuel Processing): Fuels + hydrogen → Light fuel, heavy fuel, sulfuric acid

Electric Mixer 1: Light fuel + heavy fuel → Diesel

Chemical Reactor (Naphtha): Sulfuric naphtha + hydrogen → Naphtha, sulfuric acid

Chemical Reactor (Steam Cracking): Naphtha + steam → Steam-cracked naphtha

Distillation Tower 2 (8 layers): Steam-cracked naphtha → Ethylene, propylene (at outputs 3-4)

Chemical Reactor (Propylene): Propylene + oxygen → Acrylic acid

Chemical Reactor (Ethylene): Ethylene + water + sulfuric acid → Ethyline

Chemical Reactor (Daifiliefa): Acrylic acid + ethyline → Daifiliefa

Electric Mixer 2: Diesel + daifiliefa → Boosted diesel
