If you’ve already started playing All The Mods or are looking to begin, setting up your own PokéBall factory is a worthwhile goal. This guide presents a beginner-friendly factory design focused on accessibility using low-tier materials, rather than maximum efficiency or compactness. While this may not be the most compact design compared to other creators, it emphasizes using the lowest quality materials possible, making it as accessible as possible for players in the early-to-mid game stages.

Power Setup with Create

The foundation of your PokéBall factory is a reliable power source using Create mod mechanics. Start with a water wheel as your power generation source. From there, route the power into a gearbox, which then flows into another gearbox, and finally into a rotation speed controller.

If you don’t yet have access to precision mechanisms, you can skip the rotation speed controller and instead use cog configurations to increase rotational speed. For more detailed information on Create mechanics, check out the Create tutorials available on the channel.

From the rotation speed controller, you’ll have a large cog wheel feeding into a 1:1 ratio through gearboxes. This setup powers the entire factory chain and must be positioned carefully to reach all necessary components.

Aeoru Corn Processing

Above a conveyor belt, place an Andesite Funnel and a chest. Inside this chest, insert red Aeoru corn. The funnel automatically drops the corn onto the conveyor belt below.

The power transmission from your gearboxes extends three shafts to a mechanical saw. This saw processes the red Aeoru corn into half Aeoru corn pieces, which then travel along the conveyor belt to a depot.

Water Washing Station

On the left side of your gearbox setup, create a shaft line that is four blocks long. Add two horizontal gearboxes and one vertical gearbox to redirect the rotational force upward. This allows the power transmission to exit the other side and descend to your washing station.

At the washing station, place a vertical gearbox with an encased fan on top. Put water in front of the fan and use pressure plates to prevent water from flowing out. The key principle here is that the fan should blow air outward rather than suck it inward—always blow, don’t suck.

The water fan pushes the half Aeoru corn pieces through the water, converting them into red dye and red ball lids. These items then flow into a depot.

Item Filtering and Sorting

Using item pipes with an item pipe wrench, sneak right-click to establish connections from the depot to chests. You’ll need to set up two separate filtering systems:

Red Dye Line: Use an improved pipe upgrade with whitelist settings to filter only red dye into a dedicated chest.

Red Ball Lids Line: Use round robin distribution to split red ball lids—some go to the blast furnace for conversion to blank ball lids, while others are kept as-is in a separate chest for later assembly steps.

This dual-output system is necessary because your final PokéBall assembly requires both blank ball lids (created by blasting red ball lids) and red ball lids (used as-is).

Blast Furnace Setup

Connect your red ball lids from the chest to the top of a blast furnace. Power the furnace with coal. The round robin configuration ensures that a portion of red ball lids are blasted into blank ball lids while a remainder stays red.

Extract blank ball lids from the bottom of the blast furnace. These will feed into the side of your final assemblers.

Stamped Copper Production

On the left side of your factory, set up a CNC Stamper with a mechanism. Input normal copper nuggets into the stamper paired with a rubber stamp lid mold. This produces stamped copper nugget lids.

Route the stamped copper nugget lids through an Andesite belt funnel into a mechanical press. The power for this press comes from an extended shaft line running from your main encased fan gearbox, passing through multiple gearboxes to reach the mechanical press.

The mechanical press stamps these pieces into copper ball bases, which then move to your final assembler stages.

Copper Ball Mechanism Assembly

The first of two final assemblers creates copper ball mechanisms. This assembler receives:

Copper ball bases (from the mechanical press) entering from the back

Item shafts (can be placed manually or automated via mechanical crafting)

Copper nuggets (from your copper production or placed manually)

These four items combine to create copper ball mechanisms. The assembler is sided, meaning specific items enter from specific directions (north, south, east, west). Orient your assembler so the arm direction matches the fan blowing direction for consistent item routing.

Final PokéBall Assembly

Your final assembler combines:

Copper ball mechanisms (from the first assembler)

Iron rods (can be placed manually or automated)

Blank ball lids (from the blast furnace)

Red ball lids (from the filtered output)

The blank ball lids enter from one side while red ball lids enter from the top. All items are routed through item pipes with careful positioning to match the assembler’s sided input slots. The output of this final assembler is your completed PokéBalls.

Complete Factory Overview

Your complete PokéBall factory consists of:

Power Section: Water wheel → gearboxes → rotation speed controller

Processing Section: Aeoru corn washing and conversion to red dye and red ball lids

Sorting Section: Item pipes filtering dye and ball lids to appropriate locations

Production Section: Blast furnace creating blank ball lids, CNC stamper and press creating copper ball bases

Assembly Sections: Two chained assemblers creating copper ball mechanisms and final PokéBalls

While this design may appear complex, it demonstrates how to chain Create mod components together to achieve full automation. The factory prioritizes accessibility through low-tier materials and straightforward mechanical concepts, making it suitable for players still learning All The Mods mechanics.
