How To Make Void Metal Ingots In Thaumcraft 6

Void Metal Ingots are a powerful crafting material in Thaumcraft 6, but getting your hands on them requires a bit of groundwork first. Step 1: Unlocking the Eldritch Tab

Before you can craft Void Metal Ingots, you need to unlock the Eldritch tab in your Thaumonomicon. This takes several steps, so let’s run through them quickly.

Find and Defeat the Crimson Cult

Start by locating the Crimson Cult. Kill enough Crimson Cult members and they will drop Crimson Rites. Collecting these will unlock the Delving into the Eldritch quest in your Thaumonomicon.

Complete the Delving into the Eldritch Quest

Open the Delving into the Eldritch quest — it will ask you to scan something from the void. To do this, you need to open a Flux Rift and then close it using a Causality Collapse. This process will yield Void Seeds. Scan the Void Seeds to complete the quest and unlock the Eldritch tab.

Step 2: Crafting the Void Metal Ingot

Gather Your Void Seeds

With the Eldritch tab now unlocked, you can work with Void Seeds. Pick up your Void Seeds — these are the core ingredient you’ll need for the next step.

Use a Crucible or Infusion Altar

Head to either your Crucible or your Infusion Altar (also known as the Formatorium), depending on how far along you are in your progression. Place the Void Seed inside. From this point, you have several crafting options available:

Flux Seeds — these can actually create Flux Rifts

Impetus Jewels

Void Metal Ingots

To craft the Void Metal Ingot specifically, you will need the aspects Metallum and Vitium. Add these to the Crucible along with your Void Seed and the ingot will be produced.

What Can You Do With Void Metal Ingots?

Once you have your Void Metal Ingots, a range of powerful items open up to you. Here are some of the things you can craft:

Void Metal Blocks — a decorative and functional block

Void Helm — a helmet that comes with the Warping effect

Void Sword — a sword with the Sapping enchantment, making it an excellent weapon choice
