How to Get Hydrogen & Oxygen in Mekanism

In this guide, we’ll walk you through the process of generating hydrogen and oxygen using the Mekanism mod for Minecraft. This is a straightforward process that requires just a few key components and will get you producing these essential gases in no time.

Setting Up Your Water Source

The first step is to establish a reliable water source. You’ll need an electric pump to extract water efficiently. Place the pump and connect energy to its back side.

Once your pump is powered, use mechanical pipes or any other fluid transport method from your mods to move water out of the top of the pump.

Crafting the Electrolytic Separator

The key machine for this process is the Electrolytic Separator. In the default Mekanism mod, you’ll craft it using the following materials:

Iron Ingots

Redstone

Infused Alloys

Electrolytic Cork

Running the Separator

Connect your water pump to the Electrolytic Separator. Once water enters the machine, it will automatically separate into hydrogen and oxygen. The left output port will dispense hydrogen, while the right output port will dispense oxygen. This output configuration cannot be changed.
