Once you’ve discovered them, your next goal is to kill enough of them to trigger a rare drop. You’ll need to kill approximately five to ten Crimson Cult members before one of them drops the item you need.

After killing enough Crimson Cult members, one of them will drop a book called the Crimson Rites. Pick it up immediately — this is the key item that unlocks the next stage. Once you have it in your inventory, the Crimson Rites page will unlock in your Thaumonomicon, which then reveals the next chapter: Delving into the Eldritch.

To do this, you’ll need to craft a Causality Collapser — a notably difficult item to make, requiring high instability components including Vitium and Auram. If you’re unsure how to craft it, check the Flux Rifts section of your Thaumonomicon, specifically under Closing the Flux Rifts.

To create a Flux Rift in the first place, simply let flux build up by using your cauldrons heavily — this will naturally cause a rift to open. Once a rift has appeared, right-click it with your Causality Collapser. This will trigger an explosion that closes the rift entirely.

When the rift closes, Void Seeds will drop on the ground around it. Collect them and then use your Thaumometer to scan the Void Seeds.
