How to Use the Primordial Cradle in Biomancy

The Primordial Cradle is one of the most unique and versatile blocks in the Biomancy mod. Whether you’re farming Living Flesh or growing a massive acid-spewing flesh mound, this guide will walk you through everything you need to know — from crafting the cradle to getting the most out of it. Let’s dive in!

Crafting the Primordial Cradle

Crafting the Primordial Cradle is straightforward. You will need the following ingredients:

Two Sharp Fangs — dropped by predator mobs such as wolves, foxes, cats, bats, and hoglins.

Any Raw Meat

A Primordial Core — crafted entirely from vanilla ingredients.

Once you have all the materials, craft the Primordial Cradle and place it down in your world.

Feeding the Primordial Cradle to Grow a Flesh Blob

With the cradle placed, you need to feed it two specific things to activate it and grow a Flesh Blob.

Step 1 — Feed It Raw Meat

Right-click the cradle with raw meat — raw porkchop works perfectly. Each time you feed it meat, you will notice the cradle filling up more and more. Keep feeding it until it is full.

Step 2 — Add a Healing Potion

Next, right-click the cradle with a Healing Potion. When you do this, the eye on the cradle will light up, signalling that it has been activated.

A few seconds after adding the Healing Potion, a Flesh Blob will jump out of the cradle and begin roaming around.

Growing and Harvesting the Flesh Blob

The Flesh Blob is a hungry creature — it will actively seek out and eat nearby mobs as well as raw meat items lying on the ground. You can also feed it raw meat directly by hand. The more it eats, the bigger it grows, and the bigger it gets, the more resources it will drop when killed.

Once the Flesh Blob has grown large enough, kill it to collect Living Flesh. Living Flesh is an important crafting ingredient used to make the Bio Forge, which is covered in the full Biomancy tutorial.

Alternative Use — Growing a Flesh Mound with Rotten Flesh

There is a second, very different way to use the Primordial Cradle. Instead of feeding it normal raw meat, feed it Rotten Flesh. This will trigger a completely different outcome — the cradle will begin growing a large, organic flesh mound structure.

The flesh mound starts off small — just a few vine-like growths — but it will slowly expand over time into a massive, sprawling structure.

Primal Orifices and Acid Harvesting

As the flesh mound grows to its full size, it will develop Primal Orifices across its surface. These orifices will spew out acid which pools at the bottom of the structure. You can harvest the acid directly from the orifices themselves, or collect it from the liquid that accumulates at the base. This acid can then be used as an ingredient in other Biomancy recipes.

Bloom Berries

The flesh mound will also occasionally sprout small Blooms, which produce Bloom Berries. These berries are another useful resource you can collect as the mound continues to grow.

Summary

The Primordial Cradle is a powerful and versatile block in Biomancy with two distinct use cases:

Raw Meat + Healing Potion → Spawns a Flesh Blob that grows as it eats, then drops Living Flesh when killed — used to craft the Bio Forge.

Rotten Flesh → Grows a giant flesh mound that produces harvestable acid from Primal Orifices and Bloom Berries from its Blooms.

Both methods offer valuable resources for progressing through the Biomancy mod. For a complete breakdown of everything Biomancy has to offer, be sure to check out the full mod guide on the channel and don’t forget to subscribe for more Minecraft mod tutorials!
