How to Make Sal Ammoniac in Theurgy

How to Make Sal Ammoniac in Theurgy

Sal Ammoniac is one of the very first resources you’ll need when playing with the Theurgy mod in Minecraft — particularly within modpacks like Fiorgi. In this guide, we’ll walk you through exactly how to find it in the world and how to set up your production system to generate it automatically.

Finding Sal Ammoniac Ore in the World

Before you can produce Sal Ammoniac, you’ll need to gather some raw crystals. You can find Sal Ammoniac Ore and Deepslate Sal Ammoniac Ore generating naturally across most dimensions. Note that if you’re playing a modpack, your pack author may have changed where or how this ore spawns, so check your pack’s documentation if you’re having trouble locating it.

Setting Up the Sal Ammoniac Production System

Once you have some Sal Ammoniac crystals from mining, it’s time to build your production setup. This involves two core blocks from Theurgy placed on top of each other.

Step 1 — Place the Sal Ammoniac Tank and Accumulator

Start by placing a Sal Ammoniac Tank on the ground. Then, place a Sal Ammoniac Accumulator directly on top of it. The tank goes on the bottom, and the accumulator sits on top. These two blocks work together as a unit.

Step 2 — Understand What Goes Where

Both water and your Sal Ammoniac crystals need to go into the top block — the Accumulator. The processed Sal Ammoniac fluid will then output into the bottom block, the Tank. A common mistake is splitting inputs between the two blocks, so make sure both inputs go into the Accumulator on top.

Step 3 — Supplying Water Automatically

To automate your water supply, you can use a fluid transfer system from Theurgy. For example, you can pair a sink from Cooking for Blockheads with Theurgy’s fluid transfer components. Place a Mercurial Fluid Extractor on the sink, and a Mercurial Fluid Importer on the Accumulator. Then connect them using Mercurial Copper Wire. This will keep your Accumulator topped up with water automatically.

Watching It Work

With water and Sal Ammoniac crystals both being fed into the Accumulator on top, the Tank below will begin filling up with liquid Sal Ammoniac within just a few seconds. The process is fast, so you won’t be waiting long before you have a usable supply ready to go.

Summary

To recap: find Sal Ammoniac Ore or Deepslate Sal Ammoniac Ore in the world and mine the crystals. Place a Sal Ammoniac Tank on the ground with a Sal Ammoniac Accumulator on top. Feed both your water and your crystals into the top Accumulator block, and collect your finished Sal Ammoniac fluid from the bottom Tank block. Use a Mercurial Fluid Extractor, Mercurial Fluid Importer, and Mercurial Copper Wire to automate water delivery from a compatible source like a Cooking for Blockheads sink.
